September 2008: Important Changes to the Planning System from 1 October 2008.

Permitted development rules will change from 1 October 2008. More details can be obtained from
South Hams District Council - Planning.

These new rules are intended to simplify the planning system although these changes will not affect properties in important policy areas such as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty or designated Conservation Areas etc.
